India’s Test and ODI captain, Rohit Sharma, has become a father for the second time. According to media reports, his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, gave birth to a baby boy late at night on November 15. However, neither Rohit nor Ritika has officially confirmed the news yet.
Rohit had taken a break from Team India to be present for the birth of his child. As a result, he couldn’t join the team in Australia. However, it is speculated that he might participate in the Perth Test starting from November 22.
Married in 2015
Rohit Sharma tied the knot with Ritika Sajdeh on December 13, 2015. On December 30, 2018, Ritika gave birth to their daughter, Samaira, who is now 5 years old.
KL Rahul Set to Become a Father Soon
Indian batter KL Rahul is also preparing to embrace fatherhood soon. He married Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty in January last year. According to reports, Rahul is expected to become a father in January 2025.

Team India to Play 5-Test Series in Australia
For the first time in 32 years, Team India is set to play a 5-Test series in Australia. The series will kick off with the first Test in Perth on November 22, followed by a Day-Night Test in Adelaide starting December 6. The fifth and final Test is scheduled to begin on January 3 in Sydney.
To secure a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final, India needs to win at least 4 Tests in this series.
