Hyundai Venue’s New Sunroof Variant Priced at ₹10 Lakh: Features 6 Airbags to Rival Tata Nexon
Hyundai Motor India has launched the new S(O)+ variant of its popular sub-4 meter SUV, the Venue, in the Indian market today. The company has equipped it with an electric sunroof, priced at ₹9,99,900 (ex-showroom).
New Variant Positioned Between S(O) and SX Variants
This variant is positioned between the S(O) and SX variants. It includes all the features of the Venue S(O), but due to this new feature, its price is ₹12,000 higher. This makes this variant the most affordable electric sunroof model of the Venue.
Cost Savings for Sunroof Model
Now, you will have to pay ₹1.05 lakh less to buy the Venue’s sunroof model. However, the most affordable sub-4 meter car with a sunroof feature in India is the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Its MX2 Pro variant comes at ₹8.99 lakh.
Starting Price of SUV is ₹7.94 Lakh
There have been no changes in the prices of other variants of the Hyundai Venue. The price of this sub-4 meter SUV ranges from ₹7.94 lakh to ₹13.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This car competes with the Kia Sonet and Mahindra.

Safety Features of Hyundai Venue S(O)+
Besides the sunroof, the new Venue variant features LED projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a digital instrument cluster. Safety features include 6 airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ESC, HAC, and a rear camera.
Engine Specifications of Hyundai Venue
For performance, the Venue Night Edition offers two petrol engine options. It is powered by a 1.2-liter Kappa naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 82 bhp power and 114Nm peak torque. It is tuned with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This is the only engine option available in the S(O)+ variant.
In other variants, there is an option of a 1.0-liter GDI turbocharged petrol engine, generating 118 bhp power and 172 Nm peak torque. For transmission, there is an option of a 6-speed IMT or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. There is no diesel engine option available.
