Khyati Hospital Claims Lives of 4 More Patients Under the Pretext of Medical Camps
The Khyati Multispecialty Hospital’s alleged focus on profit over patient care has raised serious concerns, as reports indicate that the number of deaths due to medical negligence is steadily increasing.
Recently, four more patient deaths have been linked to the hospital’s carelessness. In total, nine patients have lost their lives so far due to the hospital’s negligent practices during its medical camps.
More Cases of Negligence Emerge at Khyati Hospital
According to reports, a medical camp was organized by Khyati Hospital on October 6th in Vinayakpura village of Kadi Taluka, Mehsana district. During the camp, 40 patients underwent check-ups.
Among them, 75-year-old Ganpat Valand was diagnosed with blocked heart arteries and referred to Khyati Hospital in Ahmedabad. The hospital instructed him to bring a PM-JAY card before treatment.
Following an angiography, Dr. Prashant Vajirani performed angioplasty. However, after the stent was placed, his health deteriorated, and he was transferred to U.N. Mehta Hospital at Civil Hospital. Unfortunately, he passed away during treatment on November 4th.
Incident in Khavad Village (March 2023)
On March 5th, 2023, Khyati Hospital organized a medical camp in Khavad village, Kadi Taluka, where 12 individuals were diagnosed with blocked arteries. Patients were brought to Khyati Hospital the next day, including an elderly couple, 85-year-old Mulji Chavda and Champaben Chavda.
Both underwent angiography, and Muljibhai underwent angioplasty based on poor reports. After being discharged on March 7th, his condition worsened, and he was admitted to Civil Hospital on March 20th, where he passed away during treatment.
Incident in Vadhroda Village (October 2023)
On October 10th, a camp was held in Vadhroda village, diagnosing 23 people with blocked arteries. On October 14th, all patients were brought to Khyati Hospital, where 85-year-old Fataji Thakor underwent angioplasty performed by Dr. Prashant Vajirani. Unfortunately, he passed away in the hospital on October 15th during treatment.
Incident in Jornang Village (December 2022)
A medical camp was conducted in Jornang village, Mehsana, in December 2022. Following the camp, Laxman Rawal underwent stent placement at Khyati Hospital but tragically passed away three months later. Additionally, five other patients who received stents at the hospital are reportedly in critical condition.
Nine Patient Deaths Linked to Khyati Hospital’s Negligence
- Borisana Village: Two patients died after undergoing angioplasty at Khyati Hospital in Ahmedabad.
- Bajana, Surendranagar: A middle-aged patient who had a stent placed died after 11 days of treatment.
- Sanand: An elderly patient lost his life due to negligent treatment.
- Dhandhuka: A patient died after undergoing three heart operations within ten days.
- Vinayakpura, Kadi Taluka: 75-year-old Ganpatbhai died after a stent was placed.
- Khavad, Kadi Taluka: An elderly patient died 13 days after receiving a stent at Khyati Hospital.
- Vadhroda, Kadi Taluka: An elderly patient passed away during treatment at Khyati Hospital after a stent placement.
- Jornang, Mehsana: A patient died three months after receiving a stent at Khyati Hospital.
