The Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra has made a significant decision by declaring the cow as the state mother. The order issued by the government states that the cow has been given importance in Indian culture and during the Vedic period, which was taken into consideration while making this decision.

Along with this declaration, the Shinde government also stated that the milk of indigenous cows is the best for human consumption. It holds great significance in Ayurvedic treatment, Panchagavya therapy, and organic farming methods. Considering these aspects, the government has now officially declared the cow as the “state mother.”
