Prince Panchal, a 24-year-old from Vadodara, has created a unique remote-controlled kite. He completed this innovative project in just three days, investing ₹10,000 in its development. Inspired by the idea of protecting birds from injuries caused by traditional kite strings during the festival of Uttarayan, Prince decided to design a stringless kite and quickly turned his concept into reality.

This kite, controlled via remote, can fly up to a distance of 1 kilometer and allows directional control, including left and right movements. Flying this kite offers an experience similar to playing a video game, making it both engaging and safe.

Notably, Prince has previously built over 100 toy planes, showcasing his expertise in innovative creations.

Prince Shares His Journey of Building Toy Planes and Drones with His Grandfather

Prince Panchal, who recently gained attention for creating a remote-controlled kite, shared insights into his journey. He revealed, “I learned to build toy planes, drones, and kites that fly like real ones through social media platforms while also working a job. Ten years ago, my grandfather and I started making toy planes and drones together.”

Prince fondly remembers his grandfather, who passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the loss, he continued pursuing his passion with the support of his family. Today, Prince single-handedly designs and creates remote-controlled kites and toy planes, keeping his grandfather’s legacy alive.

Prince Panchal Details the Unique Features of His Remote-Controlled Kite

Prince Panchal explained the specifics of his remote-controlled kite, stating, “It took me three days to build this kite. With the remote, it cost me ₹10,000 to create. The kite is made from carbon fiber rods, and instead of paper, I used nylon fabric for the structure.”

He further elaborated that the kite is powered by a battery and uses a motor to generate lift, allowing it to fly. The kite is operated through a remote control, providing precise control over its movements and flight.

Prince Panchal further explained the advanced features of his remote-controlled kite, saying, “The front side of the kite has a fan, and the rear side has a flap that allows us to control the kite’s left and right movements.” He added that the kite is entirely remote-controlled and does not require any string for operation.

On Uttarayan day, when there is usually little wind in the afternoon, this kite can still be flown, as it is powered by its motor. The kite can fly up to 1 kilometer in height and distance. Its battery has a capacity that supports up to 15 minutes of flight.

Prince Panchal on His Innovation for Bird Safety and Enjoyment of Uttarayan

Prince Panchal shared the motivation behind his creation, saying, “Every year, many birds get injured or even die due to kite strings on Uttarayan day. I thought of making a kite that could help save birds’ lives while still allowing us to enjoy the festival. The kite I made doesn’t harm birds, and we can enjoy Uttarayan safely.”

He also mentioned that he has several remote-controlled kites, including a square-shaped one that looks like a plane. “Once it’s in the air, it feels like a regular kite is flying, but there’s no string involved,” he added, highlighting the unique features of his designs.

Prince Panchal’s Vision to Inspire Creativity in Children

Prince Panchal shared his passion for innovation, stating, “So far, I have made over 100 toy planes, including models of fighter planes, cargo planes, and seaplanes ranging from 5 to 10 feet. These are also operated through remote control. I wanted to create something new, which led me to develop this remote-controlled kite.”

He expressed his future goals, saying, “Through my YouTube channel, I hope to teach more people how to create such kites. My aim is to encourage young children, who are often engrossed in mobile gaming, to step beyond and engage in something more creative.”
