Vadodara Accident: Woman Driver Arrested After High-Speed Collision Throws Youth Into Air Like a Football
A shocking road accident took place on Makarpura Air Force Road in Vadodara city, where a woman driving a car at high speed rammed into a two-wheeler, leaving two youths injured. The impact was so severe that the rider was flung into the air “like a football.” Both injured men were immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment. CCTV footage of the accident has surfaced, providing clear evidence of the incident. The Manjalpur police have arrested the woman driver and launched further investigation.

Returning From Work When the Crash Occurred
The injured, identified as Deshraj Rama Yadav (34), a resident of Yashoda Colony in Makarpura, and Virendra Bholabhai Saroj (28), from Ranchhod Nagar, Maneja Road, were returning home from work on their Activa scooter. As they were crossing the road near Makarpura Airport Station towards Maneja Road, a speeding car driven by a woman crashed into them.

Rider Thrown Into Air; Crowd Gathers at the Spot
The collision’s impact was horrifying—Deshraj was thrown high into the air due to the force of the crash. Locals immediately rushed to the spot and informed Makarpura Police. Both men suffered serious injuries and were taken to a nearby private hospital for urgent medical care.
Injured Rider Speaks: “Car Driver Refused to Help”
Deshraj, who sustained injuries to his head, back, and ear, recounted the incident:
“I work at Makarpura GIDC and was returning after delivering company goods. I had just withdrawn money from an ATM when the car hit us. I have two children and earn ₹400 a day to support my family. The woman driver, however, was not willing to help after the accident.”

Passenger Also Injured in the Crash
Virendra, who was riding pillion, said:
“We were crossing the road when a speeding car came out of nowhere and hit us. I was sitting behind and suffered injuries to my head, leg, and back.”
Police Arrest Woman Driver
Manjalpur Police Inspector L.D. Gamara confirmed the arrest, stating:
“As soon as we received information about the accident, our team reached the spot and arrested the woman driver. Further investigation is underway.”
