Yamaha RayZR Street Rally Scooter Launched: Tap ‘Answer Back’ on Mobile for Price Details
Yamaha India Motors launched the updated model of the RAY-ZR Street Rally scooter in the Indian market yesterday (23rd September). The scooter now features new additions like the ‘Answer Back’ function and LED daytime running lights. Additionally, it comes with a hybrid engine and new color options.
Price and Competition
The updated scooter is priced at ₹98,130. With the new updates, the price has increased by ₹2,000 compared to the previous model. The scooter is available for booking at Yamaha dealerships across India. Yamaha RayZR Street Rally competes with Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Hero Destiny 125, and Suzuki Ace 125.
What’s new in the updated Yamaha RayZR?
The updated model comes with the ‘Answer Back’ function, which helps users locate their RayZR Street Rally in crowded areas. When tapped on the mobile app, the scooter’s indicators will flash, and a beep sound will emanate from the buzzer.
Apart from that, it also comes with LED daytime running lights. The RayZR Street Rally features a dual-tone color option and a two-level seat. It includes Ice Flu-Vermillion, Matte Green, and Matte Black colors. With the new updates, the scooter’s style has become sharper and more powerful than before. It also offers 21 liters of under-seat storage.
Performance: Automatic Stop and Start Features
The Razer Street Rally scooter is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with mild hybrid assist, generating 8.2hp of power and 10.3Nm of torque. The engine is tuned with a CVT gearbox for transmission.
This engine complies with BS VI OBD2 and E-20 fuel standards and is one of the mild hybrid petrol scooters. It also features automatic stop and start technology and a smart motor generator for fuel saving and silent start.
Features: Digital Instrument Screen
For a comfortable ride, the scooter is equipped with telescopic suspension at the front and monocoque suspension at the rear. For braking, Yamaha has provided a front disc and rear drum brake setup. As for the features, the scooter includes a side-stand engine cut-off switch and a digital instrument screen with Y Connect Bluetooth connectivity.
Brand Campaign: ‘The Call of the Blue’ Version 4.0 Launch
Yamaha recently launched its brand campaign ‘The Call of the Blue’ version 4.0, with the new slogan ‘Hear the Call Now,’ based on the previous slogan ‘Did You Hear the Call?’. India Yamaha Motors initiated this campaign to attract young bike riders.
