Gandhinagar witnessed an energetic and patriotic atmosphere as Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off his grand roadshow from Zilla Panchayat to Mahatma Mandir. The recent success of Operation Sindhura by the Indian Army, which responded firmly to the Pahalgam terror attack, has fueled national pride.

The excitement among Gandhinagar residents was evident as thousands gathered to welcome the Prime Minister. Officials and administrative departments took responsibility for mobilizing people from various wards and villages to Central Vista, where the roadshow route is located. Expectations suggest that over 50,000 people may gather for the event.

The district administration had been busy preparing for the roadshow, giving final touches to arrangements late into Monday evening. With a massive crowd and the Prime Minister’s special security in place, managing the gathering has proven to be a significant challenge. Around 50 designated blocks have been set up where people can stand and cheer for the Prime Minister.

The roadshow route—from Raj Bhavan to Mahatma Mandir via Central Vista—has been beautifully decorated with a tricolor theme. Mandaps and color codes in saffron, white, and green added to the patriotic mood. In light of the roadshow, roads leading to Mahatma Mandir, Central Vista, and Raj Bhavan have been declared “No Parking” zones. Additionally, a “No Drone Zone” has been imposed with strict actions to be taken against violators.

Officials Conduct Walkthrough of the Route

To ensure the smooth execution of the event, local authorities, including senior officials, conducted a walkthrough of the entire roadshow route. They reviewed every detail to avoid inconvenience to citizens. The state’s urban development minister, along with the collector, police commissioner, and other officials, also inspected the arrangements and gave necessary directives.
