MS University Exam Controversy: Student Couple Caught Kissing During Exam, Both to Be Rusticated
A shocking incident has come to light from Vadodara’s Maharaja Sayajirao (MS) University, where a video went viral showing a male student kissing a female student during an ongoing examination. The clip, allegedly recorded inside the Arts Faculty classroom, quickly spread across social media. (Note: The authenticity of the video has not been verified.)
Dean of the Arts Faculty, Prof. Kalpana Gavali, confirmed that strict action will be taken against both the students involved. “Both the student and the girl will be rusticated. Action will also be taken against the person who recorded the video and the classroom supervisor,” she said.

ABVP Demands Strict Action
Student organization ABVP submitted a memorandum demanding immediate disciplinary action. Vadodara ABVP President Ved Trivedi stated, “This happened during the ATKT examination. It’s unacceptable and tarnishes the university’s image. If no action is taken, we will protest again.”
Security and CCTV Concerns Raised
Former student leader Nikhil Solanki criticized the administration for poor surveillance. “Despite spending lakhs on CCTV, many cameras remain non-functional. There is little security, and students even use mobile phones during exams,” he said.
Another ex-student leader, Lakshya Solanki, added, “Classrooms lack proper monitoring. Students freely carry phones during exams because there’s no fear of supervision.”
The incident has deeply embarrassed the university community, sparking outrage among students and the public alike. Authorities have promised a thorough inquiry and disciplinary measures to prevent such misconduct in the future.
