Joker 2 Trailer: Joaquin Phoenix Joined by Lady Gaga, Multilingual Release Set for October

The teaser for the second installment of the Hollywood film “Joker,” titled “Joker 2: Folly a Dukes,” released in 2019, has been released. This film features the renowned American singer Lady Gaga.

In this film, Lady Gaga will portray the role of Harley Quinn, while Joaquin will reprise his role as Joker. The film is set to be released on October 4th this year in both the United States and India. It will be released in four languages (Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu) in these countries.

In the opening scene of this 2 minutes and 30 seconds trailer, Harley encounters Joker while being escorted by the police. She tells Joker, “Let’s get out of here.” Following this, they are seen performing together in a musical show. Towards the end of the trailer, Joker says that he is no longer alone.

The title of the film uses the French phrase ‘folie à deux’, which translates to “madness for two” or “shared psychosis” in English. It signifies a situation where two individuals closely influence each other, often leading to a shared delusion or madness. In this context, it is evident that at this point in the film, Joker and Harley will be seen indulging in madness together. The inclusion of Gaga’s presence in the film has also given this part a musical touch.

The first part of the film was released in 2019. In that year, the first installment of the film “Joker” was released. Joaquin Phoenix was awarded the Best Actor Oscar for his role in this film. The film received nominations in 11 categories and won two Oscars.
