Hero MotoCorp Launches New Generation Destini 125 with Upgraded Features
Hero MotoCorp has introduced the new generation Destini 125 scooter to the Indian market on September 7. The latest version of this popular scooter boasts numerous upgrades, including LED projector headlights, a longer seat, and an updated engine. The company claims that the Destini 125 will deliver an impressive mileage of 59kmpl, making it a fuel-efficient option for daily commuters.
Key Features and Variants
The Hero Destini 125 comes with various advanced features, available in three variants: VX, ZX, and ZX+. The ex-showroom prices for these variants are expected to range between Rs 85,000 and Rs 90,000. Positioned in the competitive 125cc segment, this scooter will rival models like the Suzuki 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Honda Activa 125.
Sleek Design with Modern Elements
The new generation Hero Destini 125 is built on the Zoom Xtec platform, which has led to a refreshed design. The scooter now features a metal front fender with LED headlights and taillights, offering an H-shaped LED DRL for a more dynamic look. The turn indicators have also been updated, and the side panels have undergone a complete redesign, enhancing the scooter’s visual appeal.
Enhanced Hardware for Better Riding Experience
For the first time, the Hero Destini 125 will come equipped with disc brakes in its ZX and ZX+ variants, featuring 190mm front discs. The base variant (VX) will have 130mm drum brakes. The scooter is now fitted with 12-inch wheels on both ends, with a larger rear tire (100/80-12), improving ride quality.
Moreover, the wheelbase has been increased by 57mm, thanks to a redefined swingarm pivot point and sharper rake. These improvements offer better stability and handling, ensuring a smoother ride.
Powerful Engine and Improved Mileage
The updated 124.6cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine in the Hero Destini 125 produces 9hp at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm of torque at 5500rpm. Hero has also recalibrated the CVT system, improving both performance and fuel efficiency. The company claims the scooter will achieve a certified mileage of 59kmpl, making it one of the most efficient in its category.
Advanced Technology and Connectivity Features
The new Hero Destini 125 is packed with smart features, including smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. All three variants offer CBS (Combi Brake System), side stand engine cut-off, a USB charging port, boot light, and an external fuel filler. Storage options include 19 liters of under-seat storage and a 2-liter front cubby.
Additionally, the ZX and ZX+ variants offer Bluetooth connectivity, a semi-digital instrument console, backlit starter button, pillion backrest, and auto-cancelling indicators. The top-spec ZX+ variant adds stylish bronze chrome accents and a machined finish on the alloy wheels.
Competitive Pricing and Value
With its range of new features, improved performance, and competitive pricing, the Hero Destini 125 is set to take on its rivals in the 125cc scooter segment. It’s a perfect combination of style, efficiency, and technology, catering to the needs of modern riders.
