First Glimpse of Ram Darbar Unveiled in Ayodhya: Surat Businessman Donates Diamond, Gold & Silver Ornaments
A special Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the newly established Ram Darbar was held today at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat between 11:25 AM and 11:40 AM. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed the worship rituals before the installation.
The Ram Darbar has been constructed on the first floor, right above the sanctum of Ram Lalla. The divine statues include Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughna, and Hanumanji.

Surat Industrialist Donates Precious Jewels for Ram Darbar
A generous offering came from Surat-based industrialist Mukesh Patel, who donated ornaments made of diamonds, gold, and silver. These sacred offerings were flown to Ayodhya in a chartered plane with assistance from the government.
The donation included:
- 11 crowns
- 1,000-carat diamonds
- 30 kilograms of silver
- 300 grams of gold
- 300-carat rubies
In addition, ornaments such as necklaces, earrings, forehead tilaks, and bows and arrows were crafted for Lord Ram and his brothers.

Rituals Performed by Priests from Kashi
The Pran Pratishtha rituals were conducted under the guidance of Kashi’s priest Jai Prakash Tripathi, along with 101 pandits. After chanting the sacred mantras, the cloth covering the eyes of the idols was removed, and mirrors were shown to the deities as part of the traditional rituals.
Statues Carved from Makrana Marble in Jaipur
The idols of Ram Darbar were sculpted in Jaipur using white Makrana marble. In the statue setup:
- Lord Ram and Goddess Sita are seated on a throne
- Bharat and Hanumanji sit near Lord Ram’s feet
Ram Darbar Ceremonies Attended by 350 Invitees
Unlike the grand scale of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha on January 22, 2024, which witnessed high-profile attendees from across India, today’s ceremony was a more intimate affair with 350 invitees — primarily trust officials and saints.
CM Yogi Bows Before Ram Darbar
Before the rituals began, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers and bowed before the newly established Ram Darbar on the first floor of the Ram Mandir.
