Toilet Commode Lifted, 792 Liquor Bottles Found in Ahmedabad
Despite Gujarat’s liquor prohibition, smugglers continue to devise innovative ways to hide alcohol. In one such case, the Ahmedabad Rural Local Crime Branch (LCB) conducted a raid at a fraudster’s house, where lifting the toilet commode revealed bottle after bottle of liquor. Additional liquor was also found hidden in a secret compartment built into the wall. Police seized a total of 792 bottles of liquor and beer during the operation.

Raid Based on Specific Tip-Off
Acting on precise intelligence, the Ahmedabad Rural LCB team, in coordination with Aslali Police Station, raided a house in Chunaravas, Bareja village. Upon inspection, the team discovered that the accused had employed unusual methods to conceal the liquor. A pit was dug beneath the toilet commode to hide the bottles, and secret cavities had been created within the walls for additional storage. A thorough search exposed all the concealed hiding spots.

During the raid, police seized a total of 792 items, including small and large bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor, beer cans, and breezers, with an estimated total value of ₹2,76,550.
