The Mumbai Indians have been dealt a significant blow ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Their key fast bowler, Jason Behrendorff, has been ruled out due to injury. In his place, the franchise has roped in England’s rapid bowler, Luke Wood, for a sum of 50 lakhs rupees. 

Wood, who plays for England, is slated to participate in 5 T20 matches and 2 ODIs. He boasts an impressive record of 8 wickets in T20 cricket.

Dozen Players Withdrawn from Indian League Days Before Kickoff

In a surprising turn of events, several prominent players from around the globe have withdrawn from the Indian League just three days before its commencement. 

Among them, three days prior, Delhi’s fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, Jason Roy from Kolkata, Gujarat Titans’ bowler Mohammed Shami, and Mark Wood have opted out.
