Team India Squad for T20 Series Against Afghanistan:
The Indian cricket team for the upcoming T20 series against Afghanistan has been announced, and Rohit Sharma will be leading the team as captain. This series marks Rohit Sharma’s return to international T20 cricket after the T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli has also made a comeback to T20 internationals after a gap of 14 months, and Shubman Gill has found a place in the team as well. The inclusion of Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Ruturaj Gaikwad has been confirmed, and their roles in the team will be decided in due course. The first T20 match will be held in Mohali, followed by matches in Indore on January 14th and Bengaluru on January 17th.
Preparations for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to start from January 11, are crucial, making these three matches against Afghanistan significant. This series will serve as the Indian team’s last bilateral series before the upcoming T20 World Cup in June.
