Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition Launched at ₹2.29 Lakh: Customize Factory-Roadster Bike to Compete with Royal Enfield Bullet 350
The two-wheeler manufacturer Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle has launched its popular bike, the Jawa 42 Bobber, in a new color option. Priced at ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the new variant comes in a striking Red Sheen color. This model is part of the factory-custom lineup of Jawa Bobber models, including the Black Mirror Edition, and is a top-end variant.
This means that customers can customize the bike to their needs directly at the factory. The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition was unveiled at the All You Can Street Festival (AYCS) in Mumbai.
Bookings for the bike have already begun, and deliveries will start soon. In the Indian market, this roadster bike segment competes with the Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
Design of the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition
Apart from the new color, the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition features no other changes. It carries the same design elements and features as the Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror Edition. The bike boasts dual-tone alloy wheels with a black and silver finish and comes with tubeless tires. Both the gear and engine covers have been redesigned similarly to the Black Mirror Edition.
The most striking feature of the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen is its fuel tank, which is designed in a red color with silver chrome and black-out graphics. The tank has a capacity of 12.5 liters and includes knee support on both sides.
The Jawa branding is displayed on the transmission cover, and the Bobber 42 branding is on the panel cover. The dual exhaust pipes are finished in matte black. Additionally, the bobber comes with bar-end mirrors and a single leather saddle-type seat. The bike weighs 185 kg.
Performance of the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition
The Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition shares the same engine as the Black Mirror Edition. It is powered by a 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder petrol engine that generates 29.4 HP and 32.7 Nm of torque. The company has refined and retuned this engine to enhance its performance.
For transmission, the engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and includes a slip and assist clutch. To improve power delivery, Jawa has lowered the minimum RPM from 1,500 to 1,350 in the 42 Bobber. Additionally, the throttle body size has been increased from 33mm to 38mm, allowing for better performance.
Braking and Suspension of the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition
To enhance ride quality, the Jawa 42 Bobber Red Sheen Edition features a mono-shock absorber at the rear and telescopic forks at the front. For braking, the bike is equipped with disc brakes on both wheels and dual-channel ABS for added safety.
In terms of features, the bike includes a two-step adjustable seat, a USB charging port, a digital console, a side stand engine cut-off, and full LED lighting. These additions ensure that the bike not only offers a smooth and safe ride but also provides modern conveniences and functionality.
