Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition Launched in India: The First Limited Edition Made Exclusively for India, Priced at ₹4.98 Crore
Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched the Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition in India at a price of ₹4.98 crore (ex-showroom, India). This edition is based on the long-wheelbase Range Rover available in India and has been customized by the brand’s bespoke SV division. The Ranthambore edition is the first limited edition created specifically for India.
Only 12 units of the Ranthambore Edition will be produced. Each unit will feature bespoke door sill plates indicating its model number (for example, 1 of 12). The exterior of the SV division boasts a custom black finish complemented by a striking red color.
Additionally, the design contrasts with Corinthian bronze and anthracite accents, inspired by tiger stripes. Its grille, tailgate, and 23-inch dark alloy wheels are also inspired by this distinctive tiger stripe theme.
Interior Inspired by Tiger Spines and Stripes
Talking about the interior of the Ranthambore Edition, the four-seater cabin features a combination of Caraway and Perlino semi-aniline leather, enhanced with contrast stitching. The seats are embroidered, drawing inspiration from the tiger’s spine and stripes, creating a unique and luxurious environment.
Features Like Reclining Seats and Refrigerated Compartment
To distinguish the Ranthambore Edition from the standard Range Rover SV, customized scatter cushions, chrome highlights, light wenge veneer, and white ceramic dials have been utilized.
Based on the SV, this edition offers fully reclinable seats for rear-seat passengers, powered tables, deployable cup holders, and a refrigerated compartment complete with SV-etched glassware. These luxurious features enhance the overall comfort and experience for passengers.
3.0-Liter Six-Cylinder Turbo-Petrol Engine in the Ranthambore Edition
The limited-run Ranthambore Edition is equipped with a 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, producing 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque. This engine is also available in the Autobiography variant, which is priced at ₹2.6 crore (ex-showroom, India).
The company has stated that a portion of the revenue generated from the sales of the Ranthambore Edition will be donated to the Wildlife Conservation Trust of India, supporting conservation efforts.
