Tamannaah Bhatia Summoned by Cyber Cell, Must Attend Hearing in Mahadev App Scandal on April 29

The Maharashtra cyber cell has issued a summons to actress Tamannaah Bhatia. This case is related to promotional activities on the ‘Fairplay’ app during IPL matches in 2023. 

The app is associated with online gaming and betting. The actress has been asked to appear before the Maharashtra cyber cell on April 29.

According to sources from the cyber cell, Tamannaah’s statement will be recorded in this case. She will be questioned about who contacted her for the promotional campaign and how much she was paid for it.

Sanjay Dutt Summoned on April 23, Tamannaah Bhatia Also Summoned

According to information shared on ANI’s Twitter handle, actor Sanjay Dutt was summoned on April 23 in connection with this case. Prior to Tamannaah Bhatia, Sanjay Dutt had also been summoned in this case.

When Sanjay was summoned, he mentioned that he is currently not in Mumbai and cannot appear on the given date. He requested to be informed of a suitable date and time for recording his statement.

Singer Badshah, actress Jacqueline Fernandez and actor Sanjay Dutt also promote the app.

Badshah’s Statement Previously Recorded

Prior to this, Maharashtra cyber cell had noted the statements of singer Badshah, Sanjay Dutt, and Jacqueline Fernandez’s managers in this same case. These three celebrities have been promoting the FerPlay app.

The Maharashtra cyber cell is investigating various agencies for illegal transactions and betting on the Mahadev app.

Revelations from February 2023

In February 2023, a grand wedding was held in the city of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, where many Bollywood celebrities, including Tiger Shroff and Neha Kakkar, performed. This lavish wedding incurred an expenditure of nearly 200 crore rupees and was either paid in cash or through checks.

Saurabh Chandrakar, a 28-year-old resident of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, was the groom at this extravagant wedding.

Following this event, Saurabh and his Mahadev betting app came under the radar of investigation agencies. Later, in the same case, celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor and Kapil Sharma were also summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). So far, several prominent figures from Bollywood have been named in this case.
