Sword-Wielding Chaos in Ahmedabad: Viral Video Sparks Police Action
On November 20, 2024, a viral video showed miscreants brandishing weapons and spreading terror on public roads in Ahmedabad’s Rakhial and Bapunagar areas. Within 24 hours, another video emerged from Shahibaug, depicting similar incidents. The accused were seen wielding swords to intimidate the public. Based on the viral footage, the police apprehended the suspects and conducted a reconstruction of the events at the crime scene.

In Shahibaug, near the Asarwa Bridge, miscreants armed with swords and other weapons created panic among locals. This incident followed a similar occurrence in Rakhial’s Garibnagar, where anti-social elements openly displayed weapons. Police registered a case and arrested two suspects after identifying them from the footage.
Police Reconstruction at the Crime Scene
The suspects, identified as Vishal Dhundhiya and Suresh Bhil, have a criminal history with over ten prior cases registered against them. To reconstruct the incident, the police tied ropes to the suspects’ hands and reenacted the event at the scene under the Asarwa Bridge.
