An unexpected explosion occurred on Friday afternoon at the renowned Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. Four people were injured in the blast, which took place around 1 PM in the Rajajinagar area of the city.

Injured Individuals Taken to Nearby Hospital

Three cafe employees and two customers are among the injured, who have been admitted to a nearby hospital. All the injured are currently out of danger. An official from the Whitefield Fire Station mentioned that they have received information about the cylinder blast at the cafe. They are currently at the scene conducting investigations.

Initial Reports Point to Cylinder Explosion

Initial media reports suggest that the explosion may have been caused by a cylinder. However, later, police recovered several ID cards from the blast site. A battery was also found. Additionally, a customer’s abandoned bag was discovered in the hotel. The situation suggests that there could be some significant cause behind the blast.

Bomb detection and disposal teams, along with forensic teams, are present at the site for investigation. State Home Minister Mr. Parameshwara is holding discussions with officials. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Dayananda will also provide updates on the incident.
