SC Orders Partial Opening of the Road
Since the Haryana government blocked the roads, farmers have been staging a protest on the Punjab side of the Shambhu border. The farmers stated that they would go to Delhi once the road is opened. Due to the road blockade, people have been facing difficulties, leading them to approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The court ordered the Haryana government to open the border. However, the government appealed against this decision in the Supreme Court.
