Major Accident in Madhya Pradesh: Devotees Heading to Bageshwar Dham Involved in Crash, 7 Dead
A devastating accident occurred in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday, August 20. An auto rickshaw carrying devotees heading to Bageshwar Dham crashed into the back of a truck.
The accident resulted in the deaths of 7 people, while 4 others were injured. The injured have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. The collision was so severe that the auto rickshaw was completely mangled.
Five Dead at the Scene in Chhatarpur Accident
According to reports, the accident occurred around 5 a.m. on NH 39 near Kadari. Devotees were traveling to Bageshwar Dham by auto rickshaw from Chhatarpur railway station when the rickshaw crashed into the back of a truck.
The collision was so severe that 5 people died at the scene, while 2 others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.
Victims Identified in Chhatarpur Accident
The family affected by the accident has been identified as residents of Lucknow. They were traveling to Bageshwar Dham to perform the mundan (head shaving ceremony) for their one-year-old daughter.
The identities of the other five victims who lost their lives in the accident have not yet been revealed. The police have arrived at the scene and are conducting further investigations into the incident.
