Modasa’s Fake Irrigation Office Bust: Allegations by Bayad MLA on Fake Government Documents and Stamps
On Tuesday, BJP MLA Karshan Solanki from Kadhi had requested to shut down the illicit liquor dens in the vicinity of Nandasan police station. Then on Wednesday, Bayad’s BJP MLA Dhavalsinh Jhala alleged that there is rampant corruption in the fake irrigation department office at Modasa’s Tirupati Banglow.
Dhavalsinh Jhala, the BJP MLA, stated that he had received information and had drawn the attention of the Collector and District Development Officer as well as the SP towards this matter. Unexpectedly on Wednesday, Bayad’s BJP MLA Dhavalsinh Jhala visited this house. He found 50 to 60 coins from different talukas of the district, along with computers and printers. He expressed suspicion as even the officers and employees working on this site were from the irrigation department, which raised doubts in his mind. He demanded an investigation into the papers retrieved from the printer as well.
He mentioned that no work had been done for three years and raised objections about inflated bills being presented. Moreover, he expressed concern about embezzlement of funds amounting to ₹1000. He further stated that as the Chief Minister and Irrigation Minister are transparently working, he demanded the suspension of the responsible officers involved in this matter and insisted on appropriate action by accountable officials.

Aravalli Collector Prashasti Parakhe responded to these allegations saying, “As soon as we received the request from MLA Dhavalsinh Jhala, we have sealed all documents by sending a team of officials. When asked if this office is counterfeit, the Collector stated that although no counterfeit office has been found in other districts, a retired officer was running such an office here, but the investigation is underway, and only then can it be confirmed.” The Collector also mentioned that although the MLA had previously filed complaints, no action was taken. However, when he approached us at 5:15 pm yesterday, we took action immediately.
