Tragic Oniro Blast in Vadodara: Bodies Accepted After Written Assurance, Three Workers Killed

In Padra taluka of Vadodara district, a recent blast at a private company, Oniro Company, near Ekalbara village, has caused distress and tragedy. The explosion resulted in injuries to four workers, who were promptly shifted to a private hospital. Unfortunately, three of the workers succumbed to their injuries, while one is currently undergoing treatment.

The aftermath of the incident saw a difficult situation unfold as the family initially refused to accept the deceased workers’ bodies. However, the company has now provided a written guarantee of assistance to the grieving family members who have agreed to accept the bodies. Following the completion of post-mortem procedures, the bodies will be transported to their respective hometowns for the final rites.

In response to the incident, Vadodara Collector and company representatives have collaborated to extend assistance, pledging a sum of Rs. 25 lakhs to the affected families. Discussions with the families were held, and subsequently, the Padra Police facilitated the transportation of the deceased workers’ bodies to Sayaji Hospital for post-mortem examinations. The bodies are currently undergoing postmortem procedures, and the company has assured the families of proper support during this challenging time.

Ranjitsinh Padhiar, a family member of the deceased, expressed that the unfortunate incident at Oniro Company has deeply affected their family. He confirmed that the last rites for his cousin, Rameshbhai Ganpatbhai Padhiar, who lost his life in the accident, will be carried out as per their traditions. The family acknowledges the written support and assurance extended by the company to all the affected families.

Rameshbhai’s immediate family comprises his wife and an eight-year-old son. With Rameshbhai’s tragic demise, the wife and son are the sole remaining members of the family. Since Rameshbhai did not have parents, his cousins and uncles play a significant role in the extended family structure.

In terms of support and assistance, the company has committed to providing gratuity, funds, and additional assistance to Rameshbhai’s family in light of his unfortunate demise. The family plans to proceed with the post-mortem today and, following the necessary procedures, will take the deceased bodies to their hometown for the final rites.
