In November 2022, terrorists in Shopian, Uttar Pradesh, murdered two migrant workers hailing from Kannauj district. The terrorists hurled a grenade in Harmeen, Shopian, resulting in the injury of Monish Kumar and Ram Sagar, both laborers, who succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Similarly, in August 2022, terrorists in Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, shot and killed a migrant worker from Bihar.
