ST Bus Driver Suffers Heart Attack, Bus Plunges Into Lake: Patan-Lunawada Incident Puts Passengers’ Lives in Jeopardy

Today, a bus traveling from Patan to Lunavada via Himmantnagar was involved in an incident. The bus driver was trying to overtake another vehicle when he lost control and the bus veered off the road, ending up in a water body. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The incident prompted an immediate response, and the driver was taken to the Himmatnagar Civil Hospital for further evaluation. The Himmatnagar ST (State Transport) depot manager was informed about the incident, and he arrived at the scene to oversee the situation.

The incident involved an ST (State Transport) bus traveling on the Patan to Lunavada Express route. Around 9 AM, the bus had departed from Patan and was on its way to Lunavada via Vijapura. During the journey, when the bus was approaching Dairal near Himmatnagar, it encountered a breakdown.

Suddenly, the bus driver, identified as Alpeshbhai Gopalbhai Goswami, began to experience discomfort, and he started sweating. In the midst of this situation, the driver lost control of the steering and the bus veered off the road, ultimately ending up in a water body. Fortunately, there were no injuries or casualties in this incident.

The Himmatnagar ST depot manager was informed about the situation, and he arrived at the scene to assess the situation. It was indeed a fortunate turn of events, given the potential risks associated with such incidents.

Upon losing control of the bus, the driver veered the bus to the side of the road. This incident drew the attention of people in the vicinity, and they rushed to help. They quickly pulled the bus driver out of the bus and took him to a nearby store where he was provided with water and basic first aid.

The incident was immediately reported to the emergency services, with 108 Emergency Medical Services being informed about the situation. The 108 ambulance arrived at the scene and provided initial medical attention to the bus driver. Following this, the driver was taken to the Himmatnagar Civil Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. As of now, the driver’s condition is reported to be stable, and he is receiving necessary medical care.

The ST bus conductor, Vishnusingh Chauhan, revealed that during the journey from Patan to Lunavada, the bus driver suddenly started sweating profusely. After this incident, the driver’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Subsequently, the driver veered the ST bus to the side of the road. Despite the bus coming to a stop in an area with water on the side of the road, there were no casualties or injuries. Passengers and the conductor acted promptly to ensure everyone’s safety.

In this incident, the ST bus, which had veered off the road and into a water-filled area, was recovered and pulled out using a crane by the ST department. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries, and the driver’s condition remained stable. The prompt action of the ST department helped ensure the safety of all passengers and crew involved in the incident.
