High-Profile Liquor Party Busted at Glade One Resort: 39 People Detained During Builder Pratik Sanghvi’s Birthday Bash

In a late-night operation on July 20, the Sanand police conducted a surprise raid at the Glade One Golf Resort in Ahmedabad district, where a high-profile liquor party was being held to celebrate builder Pratik Sanghvi’s birthday. Out of the 100 attendees screened, 39 individuals — 13 men and 26 women — were found intoxicated and detained on the spot.

Intoxicated Individuals Taken for Medical Tests

The police transported all the suspects to Civil Hospital late at night for medical testing. By around 3 AM, all the accused were brought to the Sanand Police Station. The police have registered a case and arrested all involved under the Prohibition Act.

Party Was Held in Violation of State Liquor Laws

The liquor party was reportedly organized by real estate developer Pratik Sanghvi. Authorities confirmed that a total of 39 individuals were under the influence. Breathalyzer tests confirmed alcohol consumption, and further blood samples were taken for medical verification.

5 Sealed Liquor Bottles Seized

Deputy SP Neelam Goswami stated that based on a tip-off, a coordinated raid was executed by Sanand, Aslali, Changodar, and Bopal police teams along with two panch witnesses. The raid revealed that Pratik Sanghvi, who is associated with real estate activities in Ahmedabad, hosted the event. Police seized five sealed liquor bottles from the premises and filed a case under the Gujarat Prohibition Act.

Late-Night Operation Continued Till Morning

The raid involved four police buses and several vehicles to transport all attendees for testing. Due to the large number of people involved, the investigation continued into the early hours. Families of many detained youths also arrived at the police station overnight.

Separate Incident: 12 Youths Caught Drinking in Kalahar Blue Green Villa

Earlier on the same day, July 20, police also raided a private villa at Kalahar Blue Green and caught 12 youths enjoying a liquor party. The detained individuals were from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, and Mumbai. This incident occurred just 24 hours before the Glade One resort raid.
