According to available information, a newborn baby girl was found one day on Bal Ashram Road in Katargam. Her cries, resulting from insect bites, caught the attention of a passerby named Vijay. He promptly informed 108, leading to the infant being admitted to the Civil Hospital for necessary care.

Police Conducting Inquiry into Abandonment

There is widespread outrage as some suspect that the mother abandoned the baby to conceal her identity. Presently, the infant is receiving care in the NICU of the Civil Hospital. The matter has been reported to Katargam Police Station in Surat. The police are actively searching for the person responsible for abandoning the child.

Infant Weighs 1.8 Kilograms

Dr. Ganesh Govekar, the Superintendent of Surat Civil Hospital, stated that the infant weighs 1.8 kilograms. Her body bears marks of insect bites and scratches. She has been admitted to the NICU for proper care. Currently, her condition is stable.
