Ahmedabad Woman Dies After Jumping From Third Floor; CCTV Footage Surfaces

A woman identified as Maitri Shrimali died by suicide after jumping from the third floor of a residential building in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad. The incident occurred two days ago, and CCTV footage of the fall has now emerged. The exact reason behind the suicide remains unknown. Chandkheda police have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation.

Marriage-Related Issues Came to Light During Probe

According to police sources, Shrimali had entered into a love marriage a few years ago. However, due to marital disputes, she had briefly returned to her parental home. The couple later reconciled, and she had been living with her husband again. The woman is also survived by a two-year-old child.

Died on the Spot After Jumping From Residential Complex

Shrimali, who lived in Diwali Homes society in Chandkheda, jumped from the third floor of her flat. Residents rushed to the spot immediately after hearing the impact, but she had already succumbed to severe injuries. Police confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene.

CCTV Shows Moment of Fall

The CCTV footage shows a sanitation worker cleaning nearby when the woman suddenly falls from above. Moments later, her dupatta is seen drifting down after her fall. People present at the spot gathered quickly to assist, but the woman could not be saved.

Police Continue Investigation

A police team reached the location soon after the incident and examined the surroundings. As no suicide note was found and the motive remains unclear, officers are continuing inquiries to determine what led to the tragedy. Chandkheda Police have stated that further action will be taken based on investigation findings.
