Flower Show 2025 Begins Tomorrow: CM Bhupendra Patel to Inaugurate, Running Until January 22, Higher Ticket Prices on Weekends

The Flower Show, which has become a unique identity of Ahmedabad and is eagerly awaited by people from across the country and abroad, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on January 3, 2025, at 9 AM. 

This year, the Flower Show has been divided into various zones, showcasing sections like the country’s growth and development, culture and heritage, Flower Valley, and the path to the future. Sculptures and replicas have been placed in the show according to these different themes.

Audio Guide Facility at Flower Show 2025: Mayor

The Mayor of Ahmedabad, Pratibha Jain, has announced that the Ahmedabad International Flower Show 2025 will be inaugurated tomorrow. This year, an audio guide facility will be provided at the Flower Show. Visitors can scan a QR code to access information about the flowers, sculptures, and zones featured in the show. 

For individuals aged 12 and above, the fee will be ₹70 from Monday to Friday and ₹100 on Saturday and Sunday. Children visiting the Flower Show from municipal corporation schools will have free entry. However, private school students will be able to visit the Flower Show by paying ₹10 per child.

Separate arrangements were made for VIP visitors.

Separate Time Slot for VIP Entry at Flower Show

Every year, the Flower Show attracts a large crowd, and at times, entry is temporarily halted in the evening due to the rush. This year, the Municipal Corporation has introduced a VIP entry option. 

During the designated VIP time slots from 9 AM to 10 AM and 10 PM to 11 PM, the entry fee will be ₹500. These slots have been set aside for those who prefer to avoid the crowd and enjoy a more exclusive experience.

The Flower Show will be held from January 3 to January 22, spanning 20 days. However, based on public demand, the duration of the show may be extended. Tickets for the Flower Show will be available both online and at Civic Centers. 

A ticket counter will also be set up near the Sabarmati Riverfront Event Centre, where visitors can purchase physical tickets. Additionally, online tickets can be obtained through the QR code.

A 400-foot cranial wall will be created with over 7 lakh plants at the Flower Show, and more than 15 lakh plants will be displayed. This year, over 30 exotic (foreign species) flowers will also be featured. Along with food stalls, nursery stalls will be set up, allowing visitors to purchase flower pots, plants, and other items. A souvenir shop will also be available. 

The nursery and food stalls are expected to be major attractions for visitors. Information about all the plants and species can be accessed through QR codes. The event is beautifully organized by the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation, ensuring visitors will have a wonderful experience, with at least an hour to explore the show.

Corporation Incurred Loss of ₹4.92 Crore Last Year

Standing Committee Chairman Devang Dani mentioned that the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation organizes the Flower Show at Sabarmati Riverfront every January. This year, the Flower Show 2025 has been planned. 

Compared to previous years, the number of sculptures and structures at this year’s Flower Show has been increased. In 2024, 9.72 lakh people visited the Flower Show, generating an income of ₹6.52 crore. The total expenditure for the Flower Show last year amounted to ₹11.44 crore, resulting in a loss of ₹4.92 crore.

The cost of this year’s Flower Show is expected to be around ₹15 crore. The income from food stalls and advertisements has increased compared to last year. In the previous year, the income from food stalls was ₹73 lakh, while this year it has risen to ₹1.92 crore. 

Similarly, income from advertisements last year was ₹29 lakh, which has increased to ₹1.50 crore this year. It has also been reported that several mathematical companies have been involved in marketing at the event.
