Raymond’s MD Gautam Singhania Announces Separation from Wife Nawaz After 32 Years of Marriage
Gautam Singhania, the Chairman and Managing Director of Raymond Limited, announced on Monday that he and his wife, Nawaz Modi Singhania, are separating after 32 years of marriage. Gautam Singhania stated that it is not the same as before, and they have decided to go separate ways before Diwali. He mentioned that they will each take different paths, while he will pursue what is good for their two precious diamonds, Niharika and Nisa.
Media reports indicate that Nawaz Modi Singhania filed a complaint against Gautam Singhania last month, alleging that he physically assaulted her during a Diwali party in Thane. Gautam had then broken her collar bone. Following the incident, she was admitted to Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre. No police complaint has been registered in this matter.

Gautam’s wife, Nawaz Singhania, is of Parsi descent. She is an artist and has organized various art exhibitions in Mumbai. In an interview, Gautam mentioned that making a Parsi girl his wife was not an easy task. Nawaz’s father was initially not prepared for the marriage, but her determination eventually convinced Gautam to bend down on one knee.
Even after their marriage, they had to make several adjustments due to cultural differences. Gautam’s father told him that love is essential for marriage, and he can choose someone after that.
