Intel India’s East Country Head Avtar Saini Dies in Cycling Accident
Former country head of Intel India, Avatar Saini, met with an accident around 5:50 AM on Wednesday. Police reported that the 68-year-old Avatar was riding a bicycle with his friends in the Nerul area of Navi Mumbai when a speeding cab hit him from behind. He got trapped between the cab’s front wheels and his bicycle. The news of his death surfaced in the media on Thursday.
The driver attempted to flee the scene after the accident, but he was apprehended by the people present there. According to the police, the driver tried to escape from the scene after the accident. However, people at the scene apprehended the cab driver and handed him over to the police. Saini sustained serious injuries in the accident. He was then taken to the hospital by his companions, where doctors declared him dead. The police have filed an FIR against the cab driver. The accused has been arrested. Currently, the police are investigating the case.
The avatar was an NRI and lived alone in Chembur, Mumbai. He had a son and a daughter in his family. Both of us live in America. His wife passed away a few years ago.
