Railway Police Officer Saves Elderly Couple Trapped While Boarding Moving Train

While traveling on a moving train, many accidents can occur, and one such incident was averted by an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of the Railway Police who saved the lives of an elderly couple. The incident took place at Surat Railway Station when the couple got stuck while boarding a moving train. Suddenly, the ASI noticed the incident and rushed to rescue the couple. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the railway station.

The incident involved 61-year-old Ramshray Shrivastav and his wife Shakuntala Devi, who were residing in the outskirts of Surat. They reached platform number 3 of the station, unaware of which train to board. They attempted to board the Jaipur-Pune Express train. In the process, the couple’s foot slipped, and they got trapped between the train and the platform. At that moment, the ASI, Israr Baig, arrived at the scene with his bag as if he were an angel.

The ASI swiftly grabbed both of them and managed to pull them to safety, averting a major mishap. If the ASI hadn’t acted promptly and courageously, a serious accident could have occurred. The ASI, along with railway personnel, always advises people to be cautious and refrain from boarding moving trains to avoid endangering their lives. The entire incident was captured on CCTV footage.

If the ASI hadn’t acted in time, a major tragedy could have occurred. The ASI and railway police always warn people to be vigilant in such situations and urge them not to risk their lives by attempting to board moving trains. The video, shared on the RPF Western Railway’s official account, provides valuable information according to the RPF. This video is dated February 11, 2024.
