Blast in Garbage Pile Opposite Surat Petrol Pump: 2 Severely Injured, Cause Unknown

A shocking incident occurred in the Dindoli area of Surat. Near a circle where people usually dump garbage, a sudden explosion took place. It has been reported that two people sustained severe injuries due to the blast. The exact cause of the explosion remains unknown.

Two Severely Injured in the Blast

The blast occurred near Madhuban Circle in Dindoli, opposite a Naira petrol pump, where a pile of garbage was located. The sudden explosion at the garbage site left people in panic. Following the blast, a massive fire broke out. Two individuals sustained severe burns, and nearby residents rushed to the scene in large numbers. The explosion was so intense that the victims suffered over 40% injuries, with their clothes completely burned, resulting in significant damage to their skin. The condition of both individuals was so critical that they were unable to speak.

Cause of the Blast Remains Unknown

Fire officer Tarun Gadhvi stated that they reached the site immediately after receiving a call. It is suspected that the explosion was caused by a chemical reaction within the garbage pile. The exact cause of the fire remains unclear, but the blast was so severe that most of the victims’ skin was burned. The identities of the two individuals have not yet been determined, but it is assumed they might be garbage collectors based on the presence of a three-wheeled cart typically used for collecting plastic bottles and other items. Before the fire brigade arrived, locals had managed to control the fire and transported the injured to the hospital with the help of 108 emergency services.
