Swaminarayan Kanya Gurukul: Inaugural Ceremony Tomorrow for 3.21 Lakh Sq. Ft. Campus on Rajkot-Morbi Highway, Costing 45 Crores with State-of-the-Art Facilities

With the aim of revitalizing the Guru-Shishya tradition and nurturing it to withstand the challenges, the Swaminarayan Gurukul institution in Rajkot has introduced a new dimension to Kanya Gurukul after 76 years. The inauguration ceremony for the foundation stone, performed on Saturday after the ground-breaking ceremony, was attended by dignitaries, including the Governor and other leaders.

Swaminarayan Kanya Gurukul, inspired by the Rajkot Morbi Highway, commenced its new project for the upliftment of girls. The foundation stone-laying ceremony, attended by dignitaries including the Governor, marked the beginning of a new era in female education. The formal inauguration ceremony for the foundation stone will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 4 PM to 7 PM.

Accommodating 1200 Girls for Empowering the Nation

The Swaminarayan Kanya Gurukul will be entirely managed by women, from cleaning staff to teachers, administrators, and more. The hostel will also be run by women, overseeing activities such as management, prayer sessions, spiritual practices, and instilling religious values. Responsible male devotees will be available for guidance. The Gurukul will accommodate 1200 girls, fostering a conducive environment for their development. The estimated cost for construction is 45 crores INR, covering a 3.21 lakh square feet area.

Comprehensive Education for All Sections of Society

The Gurukul will offer education in Gujarati and English, starting from the 6th grade and extending up to the 12th grade. The school aims to enroll 1200 students from various castes and classes. The campus will feature modern amenities such as sports facilities, swimming pools, a cafeteria, a vast library, laboratories, and more. It will also provide residential facilities for holistic development.

Gurukul’s Success Across 59 Branches Worldwide

Founded 76 years ago with just seven students, the Rajkot Swaminarayan Gurukul has grown into a network of 59 branches globally, educating over 40,000 students in Vedic, secular, and Brahmavidya education. Students who practiced with a token fee of just 1 rupee per day are now successful in various businesses, contributing to society. Today, Gurukuls continue to flourish, contributing significantly to the cultural heritage of India.
