Exclusive: World Cup Opening Ceremony to Feature Captains of 10 Participating Teams at Narendra Modi Stadium

However, there will be a photo session with all the team captains alongside the World Cup trophy. Tomorrow morning, all the team captains will assemble here at the Narendra Modi Stadium. They will have a meeting, followed by the photo session. After the photo session, all the captains will disperse.

Such discussions had been ongoing for the past few days regarding the opening ceremony of the World Cup match at Narendra Modi Stadium. It was expected to feature artists like Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal, along with laser shows and fireworks. However, it has now been officially confirmed that there won’t be any kind of opening ceremony. Only a photo shoot with the World Cup trophy is scheduled for October 4th, and the match between England and New Zealand will be held on October 5th.
