Tata’s New Electric Car Set for Launch, Petrol Version to Follow Soon
Tata Motors is fully leveraging the rapidly growing passenger electric vehicle segment in India. According to the latest information, out of every 100 electric cars sold in India, 70 are from Tata Motors, which means the company holds a 70% share in the electric car segment. Many companies in India are selling electric cars, but none have been able to establish a foothold in the electric car market like Tata Motors. Regarding the country’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, the company has announced that it will launch its first electric car in 2025.
Tata Motors Unveils Another Electric Car
In the meantime, Tata Motors has revealed another electric car. The company recently released a teaser for the Curvv EV, indicating that this car could be launched very soon. It is said that after launching the electric version, the company will also launch its petrol version in the market.
What’s Special About the Tata Curvv EV?
The Tata Curvv EV will be an all-electric model with a coupe body style. Some of Curvv’s design highlights include a full-width light bar running across the face, split LED headlamps, an aggressive-looking grille and bumper, a sloping roof, flush-fitting door handles, and connected LED taillights. Additionally, the design and positioning of the reflector will be similar to that of the Nexon.
Features of the Curvv EV
In terms of features, the Curvv EV may include connectivity features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This car will feature a free-standing 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument cluster, a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, touch-based HVAC controls, ventilated front seats, auto-dimming IRVM, a 360-degree surround camera, and ADAS technology.
Furthermore, if we look at the recently surfaced spy photos, the Curvv EV will also feature a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. The battery pack and specifications might be similar to the Nexon EV. The car could have a single motor setup that powers the front wheels.
