Apple Launches Four Devices in “Let Loose” Event

Apple unveiled four new devices in its “Let Loose” event – the iPad Air, iPad Pro, Magic Keyboard, and Pencil Pro. Both the iPad Air and iPad Pro come with 11-inch and 13-inch display options. The iPad Pro is Apple’s slimmest device yet.

The thickness of the iPad Pro with an 11-inch display is 5.3mm (0.21 inches), while the 13-inch display variant measures 5.1mm (0.20 inches) in thickness. These devices are equipped with the M4 chipset. At the same time, the iPad Air is launched with the M2 chipset. These devices will be available in India starting from May 15, with a starting price of INR 99,900.

iPad Air: Features

The iPad Air will be available in four storage options – 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The company has equipped the iPad Air with a 12-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel front landscape camera. It features the M2 chipset. This device will be available in India starting from May 15, with a starting price of INR 59,900.

Apple is part of India’s PLI Scheme

Apple’s three contract manufacturers (Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron) are part of India’s Rs. 41,000 crore Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. This scheme has led to increased iPhone production in India. In 2020, the Indian government initiated the PLI scheme. Through this scheme, foreign companies are incentivized to take advantage of local production, and they also receive encouragement for it.

iPhone 15 Series Launched at ‘Wanderlust Event’ 8 Months Ago

Nearly 8 months ago, the company launched the iPhone 15 series, Watch Series 9, and Watch Ultra 2 at its ‘Wanderlust Event’ on September 12th. In each event, Apple made efforts to introduce something different, providing a USB-C port for charging for the first time. Previously, the Lightning port was available.
