Patidar Woman Alleges Harassment and Father’s Murder, Cries for Justice on Social Media

A heartbreaking incident has come to light from Rajkot, where a widow from the Patidar community is allegedly being harassed by her own relatives. Her daughter, Kristina Patel, currently living in Mumbai, shared a tearful video on social media demanding justice and protection for her mother. She also submitted a formal complaint to the Rajkot Police Commissioner.

In her complaint, Kristina’s mother, Anjuben Pareshbhai Amrutiya, named Anand Dinesh Amrutiya, Dinesh Amrutbhai Amrutiya, Bipin Amrutiya, and Ashok Amrutiya as those responsible for the harassment.

“My Uncle Is in BJP, That’s Why Police Won’t Register Our Complaint”

“My Uncle Is in BJP, That’s Why Police Won’t Register Our Complaint”

In an emotional Instagram video, Kristina said, “My elder uncle is in BJP, so the police are not registering our complaint. Just because you’re in politics, does it mean you can kill someone? I strongly believe they might have killed my father (Paresh Amrutlal Amrutiya). I don’t know what to do. I live in Mumbai while my mother is alone in Rajkot. I request the Gujarat Police to take action and ensure my mother’s safety — that’s the least they can do.”

“They Took Away All My Father’s Property, Attacked My Mother”

Kristina revealed that her father’s relatives have taken possession of his entire property. She said, “We didn’t react; we took the legal route like anyone would. But now my uncle Bipin Amrutiya, brother Anand Amrutiya, and another unidentified person entered our home and misbehaved with my mother. Despite calling the police, no action was taken. Even the Commissioner ignored our plea.”

“Is Political Power a License to Kill?”

In her video, Kristina asked, “Just because someone is in BJP, can they escape consequences even if they murder someone? What if something happened to my mother? I’m grateful to those who saved her. But why hasn’t the police registered our complaint? Why is a life not worth protection just because the accused is politically connected?”

She concluded with a desperate plea: “My father had no illness. His sudden death seems suspicious now. I truly believe he was murdered. I don’t know what to do. I stay in Mumbai, and my mother is alone there. I urge the Gujarat Police to act and ensure her safety.”

Community Contradiction: Safety for Sisters vs. Silence on Injustice

While the Patidar community holds rallies and gatherings for the safety and dignity of women, one of its own — a widow — is running from pillar to post for justice. The case has raised serious concerns about political protection, police inaction, and women’s safety within the community itself.
