In his speech at the Quad Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, PM Modi stated that the Quad is “permanent” and “not against anyone.” Referring to China, he mentioned that Quad leaders are in favor of a rules-based international order and respect for sovereignty. It’s important to note that China seeks unilateral dominance in the world.

To achieve this dominance, China conspires against its neighboring countries, especially India. China believes that QUAD was formed against it, which is true to some extent. In this context, PM Modi’s message holds great significance in many ways.

During the Summit, Modi Said:

“The Quad meeting is taking place at a time when the world is surrounded by tensions and conflicts. In such a situation, the Quad’s collective efforts are extremely important for humanity. We are not against anyone. We support a rules-based international order, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the peaceful resolution of all issues.”

Biden Welcomed Modi with a Warm Hug

After the Quad Summit, PM Modi and other leaders participated in the Cancer Moonshot Program. Here, PM Modi announced the provision of 40 million free vaccines to Indo-Pacific countries. Prior to the summit, PM Modi visited President Biden at his residence in Delaware, where Biden welcomed him with a warm hug. Following this, the two leaders held a bilateral meeting.

In addition, PM Modi also held bilateral meetings with the Prime Ministers of Japan and Australia. According to media reports, just hours before Modi arrived in the U.S., the White House hosted pro-Khalistan supporters. The U.S. government has assured that they will protect Sikh activists from oppression in other countries.
