Deadly Crash on Vadodara-Halol Road: Couple Killed in Eco Car, 3 Injured, 4km Traffic Jam
On Vadodara-Halol road near Jarod village, a severe accident involving five vehicles resulted in the death of two individuals at the scene. Both deceased were a couple. Three others sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. The accident caused a traffic jam extending 3 to 4 kilometers, leading to the closure of the Halol-Vadodara toll road. Information was given to the Vadodara Fire and Emergency Department that two people were trapped.
Couple Crushed Between Vehicles in Eco Car
According to details, at the Jarod crossroad on the Vadodara-Halol road, a bizarre accident occurred where vehicles collided with each other. Five vehicles crashed together, crushing the Eco car in the middle. Nareshbhai Bhimjibhai Dodiya (35) and his wife Dharmishthaben, residents of Jarod village, died in the Eco car. The accident happened while Nareshbhai was crossing the road with the Eco car. The crash involved a heavy loader truck, a water tanker, an Eco car, a rickshaw, and a Kia car. Large crowds gathered at the scene, and rescue operations were undertaken by Jarod police and the fire brigade. The accident caused long queues of vehicles, with three other drivers sustaining minor injuries.
3 to 4 Kilometer Traffic Jam
The Jarod Police Inspector stated that two individuals died on the spot. Three injured persons were moved to CHC Center Jarod for treatment. The traffic jam extended for three to four kilometers and efforts were made to clear it.
Six People in Kia Car Rescued Unharmed
The airbags of the Kia car deployed, saving the lives of six occupants, while the couple in the Eco car died.
Two Trucks Overturn and Fall on Three Vehicles
Two loaded trucks collided, causing both to overturn and crush three vehicles. The autorickshaw, Eco car, and Kia car were all trapped under the trucks.
Road Diversion Towards Jarod Village
All vehicles traveling from Halol to Vadodara were diverted from the highway near the Bhathiji temple and CNG pump through Jarod village and back onto the highway.
