Botad Couple Injured in Fatal Collision with Truck

Bhupatbhai Babu Bhai and his wife, residents of Khas village in Botad district, were riding a bike towards Botad. Upon reaching Khas Road near Botad, they collided with an oncoming truck, causing a tragic accident. Both Bhupatbhai, the bike rider, and his wife suffered serious injuries. Bhupatbhai succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while his wife was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Truck Driver Fleeing the Scene Caught After Railway Crossing Barrier Stops Him

After the accident, the truck driver fled the scene, but he was caught when he was unable to escape due to a railway crossing barrier. Witnesses at the scene stated that the driver appeared to be heavily intoxicated, which contributed to the accident. Upon learning of the incident, the Botad police arrived at the scene, sent the deceased’s body for post-mortem, and initiated further investigation.
