Three-Day Food Festival: Enjoy Royal Dining by the Riverfront & Temple Offerings; Political Leaders Taste Hot and Cold Coffee!
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has organized a food festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront for three days starting today. The festival was inaugurated by State Minister Jagdish Panchal to open up food options for the public. A coffee pavilion has been set up at the festival offering various flavors of coffee for people to enjoy.
Diverse Culinary Delights
Minister Jagdish Panchal and BJP leaders enjoyed both hot and cold coffee flavors along with commissioners. Minister Jagdish Panchal himself explored various types of coffee and encouraged other leaders, including MP Kirit Solanki, to savor the coffee and its flavors.
Variety of Food Stalls
Minister Jagdish Panchal announced the commencement of the food festival organized by the Municipal Corporation along the Sabarmati Riverfront. There are 72 different types of food stalls, featuring cuisine from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and other states. People can indulge in a wide range of flavors, from royal feasts to temple offerings, showcasing the diverse culinary heritage. The event aims to provide locals with the opportunity to enjoy Gujarati and Indian cuisine amidst the growing popularity of European and foreign foods.
Pavilions and Pricing
The food festival kicks off today along the Sabarmati Riverfront. There are 52 stalls from various brands and 18 jetty food stalls at the luxurious food court, along with three pavilions in Zone A. Lunch at the Spirited Pavilion will cost Rs. 1600, and dinner will be Rs. 1900. On the last day, dinner will cost Rs. 2100. Lunch at the Wellness Pavilion will be Rs. 2100, and dinner will be Rs. 2700. Lunch at the Royal Pavilion will be Rs. 2400, and dinner will be Rs. 3000.
Cooking Demos and Main Stage at Zone B
Zone B will feature cooking demos, panel discussions, and entertainment, along with the main stage. The general ticket will include access to Zone B and other stalls. Cooking demos will be conducted by master/celebrity chefs on the main stage. Panel discussions by cricket icons, cookbook authors, beauty, and fitness enthusiasts will take place from 12 PM to 6 PM. Live cultural and musical performances will be held from 6 PM to 10 PM.
Coffee Pavilion with Plant and Tasting Experience
An exceptional coffee pavilion has been created, offering live coffee plants, freshly roasted purple coffee beans, the process of grinding, differences between Arabica and Robusta varieties, and the taste of freshly brewed coffee, providing a complete coffee experience. This coffee pavilion was showcased by Jagdish Panchal, who had also savored the taste of the coffee.
Kitchen of the Kings in Royal Pavilion
In the Royal Pavilion, the meal served to the royal families of Gujarat and India’s kings and maharajas will be of royal quality. Known as the Kitchen of the Kings, families like Balasinor, Chhota Udepur, Gondal, and Kolhapur will have their royal meals prepared by royal chefs in attendance.
Spiritual Pavilion Offering Offerings in Temples
In the spiritual pavilion, the food offerings presented at Jagannath Puri and Radha Raman temples will be showcased in all their varieties. The temple kitchens will participate in this food festival, offering the taste of the prasad offered at the temples.

Spiritual food in the food festival refers to the prasad offered at Jagannath Puri and Radha Raman temples, which people can enjoy while sitting down. In the spiritual pavilion, people will sit on mats and enjoy the food served in leaf plates and cups. Special lighting will be arranged for dinner, with dim lighting placed below the meal for a unique experience. In Jagannath Puri, a meal consisting of five types of vegetables, four types of rice, and two types of sweets has been arranged. Visitors to the Radha Raman temple can enjoy over 15 different varieties of dishes and prasad. The chefs from Jagannath Puri have assured that the taste of the food offerings to the deities can be experienced here, including the famous sweet delicacies.
