Junior and Senior Clerk Exam Postponed: Lok Sabha Election Code Leads to Postponement, New Date Soon!

The Gujarat Subordinate Service Selection Board(GSSSB) had scheduled competitive examinations on the dates of April 20, 21, 27, 28, and May 4 and 5, which are now postponed. Following the Election Commission’s directives, the examinations for junior and senior clerks of the Secondary Service Selection Board have been postponed. The examinations are deferred concerning the conduct of Lok Sabha elections.

Exams to Remain Postponed

Examinations slated for May 8-9 will remain postponed. A new date will be announced shortly. Exams are ongoing for 5554 positions. Those who have completed their examination need not reappear. Examinations for remaining candidates will continue as scheduled after the elections.

Commencement of Several Tasks Post-Election

After certain deliberations in the state assembly sessions, the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct along with the Lok Sabha elections is being taken seriously nationwide. Hence, the decision to postpone the examinations for junior and senior clerks has been made public.

New examination dates can be announced soon after the election results. Until then, candidates can focus more on their studies. Additionally, candidates will remain eagerly awaiting the announcement of examination dates wherever a new timetable is not yet published.
