Before starting his meditation, he paused briefly on the steps leading to the memorial. This visit marks a significant moment, reflecting Modi’s reverence for Swami Vivekananda’s legacy.

Opposition Criticizes PM Modi’s Meditation

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has claimed that PM Modi’s meditation at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial violates the Model Code of Conduct, suggesting that Modi’s “permanent meditation” will start after June 4.

Criticism also came from other political leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Banerjee. Banerjee remarked that Modi retreats to air-conditioned comfort after every election, implying that his meditation session is a strategic move rather than a genuine spiritual endeavor.
