Customer Steals Bike During Test Ride at Vadodara Showroom, CCTV Captures Brazen Incident
In an incident at the showroom of A.S. Motors on Chhani Road in Vadodara city, a customer had taken a test ride on the pretext of a trial ride and fled with the bike. The entire incident was captured on the showroom’s CCTV cameras. The showroom employee reported the matter to the Fatehgunj police station. Consequently, the police have initiated an investigation into the case.
The customer took the bike for a trial ride, claiming to be interested in purchasing it. Ketanbhai Sheth, an employee at A.S. Motors, stated that a customer had come to their showroom and expressed interest in taking a trial ride of the bike. They allowed the customer to take the bike for a trial ride within the premises. However, the customer did not return the bike and fled with it. Sheth mentioned that they only allow trial rides within the showroom premises, and the customer was not supposed to take the bike outside for a trial.
It was later revealed that the customer had called the showroom claiming to be interested in a trial ride. The showroom staff, believing the caller’s intention to be genuine, allowed the customer to take the bike for a trial within the showroom premises. However, shortly after the trial ride commenced, the customer left the showroom with the bike. The showroom staff realized the incident when the mechanics received a call from the customer stating that he wanted to take the bike for a trial ride outside.
As a result, the showroom lodged a complaint with the police, and an investigation is underway to locate and apprehend the customer who fled with the bike.
Customer Escapes After Taking Bike for a Test Ride

The showroom employee reported the matter to the Fatehgunj police station, leading to an investigation. The customer had called the showroom, expressing interest in a trial ride. The staff, believing the customer’s intentions were legitimate, allowed them to take the bike for a trial within the showroom premises. However, during the trial ride, the customer left the showroom with the bike.
The showroom staff realized the incident when the customer called and claimed to be experiencing some noise issues with the bike, asking the mechanics to come and check. Upon arrival, they found that the customer had already fled with the bike.
Wearing a black mask, they provided us with false information regarding their name and address after the test ride. The individuals mentioned that they had taken the trial ride, but we did not record their name and address. The customer’s bag, which is currently in our possession, contains four fake notes and a water bottle. The customer was wearing a lilac-colored shirt, black pants, a black mask, a cap, and goggles, presenting a well-organized appearance. The cost of the bike is 1.27 lakh rupees. We have reported this incident to the Fatehgunj police station.
